Cookie Notice

What we store in your browser, what each item is for, and how to switch it off at any time.

Version 2026-08-13 Mexican Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties

This Cookie Notice supplements and forms an integral part of our Privacy Notice, and is issued under articles 76 and 77 of the Regulations to Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, which govern the use of cookies, web beacons and other tracking technologies. The Spanish version is the only legally binding one.

1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a very small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit. On later visits your browser returns that file to the site, allowing it to "remember" things: that you are already signed in, which language you prefer, or what you decided about these very cookies.

Alongside cookies we use other technologies that work on the same logic:

2. Who sets the cookies

All cookies this site sets are first-party, meaning they are set by the Golden Cabo Transportation domain and are under our exclusive control. We use no third-party advertising cookies and no social media pixels.

3. Types of cookies we use

3.1 Strictly necessary

Essential for the site to work and stay secure: they maintain your session, protect forms against request forgery, and remember the decision you made about the other cookies. They require no consent and cannot be disabled from our panel, because the site cannot operate without them. They are not used to profile you or for advertising.

3.2 Preferences

They remember choices you made, such as language. They improve your experience but the site works without them.

3.3 Analytics

They let us know how many people visit the site and how they move through it. They require your consent and stay disabled until you give it.

3.4 Marketing

They enable the commercial purposes described in section 5 of the Privacy Notice: demand analysis by zone and season, campaign measurement and commercial prospecting. They require your consent and are disabled by default.

4. Cookie and technology inventory

NameCategoryPurposeDuration
golden_cabo_transportation_session Necessary Maintains the visitor's session while browsing and authorised staff sessions inside the admin panel. Session (deleted on browser close or after 2 hours of inactivity)
XSRF-TOKEN Necessary Protects the booking and contact forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. Session
gc_consent Necessary Stores the decision you made in the cookie banner. It is what stops us asking again on every page. Its only possible values are essential, analytics or marketing. 13 months
gc_vid Analytics A random identifier, unrelated to your identity, that distinguishes returning visitors from new ones. Only set if you accept analytics, and deleted if you withdraw consent. 13 months
gc_lang (local storage) Preferences Remembers whether you prefer the site in Spanish or English. Until you clear your browser data
Visit log (server-side) Analytics / Marketing IP address, approximate location, page, date, device and traffic source. Without your consent the IP is stored pseudonymised and no location lookup is performed. 365 days

5. Third-party services

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts for its visual presentation. That load sets no cookies, but it does mean your browser makes a request to Google LLC servers, which may record your IP address under their own policies. See policies.google.com/privacy.

When you choose to contact us via WhatsApp, Messenger or email from links on the site, you leave our domain and those platforms' privacy policies apply, beyond our control.

Should we add third-party tools that set cookies in future — such as analytics or advertising platforms — we will update this inventory and ask for your consent again before activating them.

6. Managing your preferences

Site preferences panel. The most direct route, and you may use it as often as you like:

You may also object to processing by writing to goldencabotransportation@gmail.com. So that we can locate and delete your browsing records, please tell us the IP address you browsed from and the approximate date: since we set no tracking cookies without consent, that is the only value by which those records can be identified.

7. Disabling from your browser

Independently of our panel, every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Official instructions for the most used ones:

If your browser sends the Do Not Track signal, we honour it: the visit is recorded in essential mode, without retaining your IP address in the clear and without any location lookup.

8. What happens if you disable them

9. Changes to this notice

We will update this notice whenever we add, change or remove a cookie. The version in force is 2026-08-13 and it is always the one shown on this page. Where a change introduces new cookies subject to consent, we will show you the banner again.
